Dresses for 8" Little Girl Dolls
Three
styles of dresses to make for 8" dolls from new or vintage 10" hankies.
View A is a basic bodice with detched collar, view B is a pinafore
style that wraps to close in the back and will fit an even wider size range of
dolls. View C is a Bishop style gathered into a neckband and elasticized
puffed sleeves. All the styles can use hankies with corner motifs or with regular
fabrics. |

by Vogue and Tiny Betsy and Tiny Ann Estelle by Tonner. Kimono wraps in front
to close, has contrasting front band and Obi belt. Lined and unlined versions
included in instructions. |

Includes
a shawl-collared, ankle-length robe with long sleeves, optional patch pockets
and self or purchased cord tie belt. Ankle-length nightgown has high bodice
band with self-shoulder straps and a full gathered skirt. Closes in back. Footie
pajamas are one piece; close in front with
snaps and button trim. The back
has a decorative flap tacked at the corners with button trim. Slide-on slippers
are made from felt and have optional bunny ears and face.

Wardrobe for 8" Little Girl Dolls
One
piece bodices (cap- sleeved, short sleeved or sleeveless), attach to a full, high-waisted
skirt (just below knee length). Banded style has straps added and can be trimmed
with inserts such as piping, rickrack, lace or a shoulder ruffle. Round yoke style
has raglan sleeves with elasticized self ruffle gathered into yoke. Also included
are tights, panties with elastic waist and leg ruffle, shorts, a broad brimmed
sun hat and a bonnet with ribbon ties.

Set
High-waisted
sun suit with "bubble-bottom" pants and bib bodice. Waistband
closes in back, and shoulder straps cross in back and snap to waistband. Sundress
has same bib, but skirt opens in back to show off elastic-waist shorts worn underneath.
Wrap-around style apron can be made with contrasting lining and trimmed with rick-rack
on top inseam. Tab shoulder straps cross in back and snap at ends. View D is a
vintage-style, natural waist apron bound with purchased double-fold bias tape.
Both aprons can be worn with the shorts underneath for a sundress look. Separate
pattern for the Tiny Dolls, like Ann Estelle and Betsy by Robert Tonner Co., are
included.

and Jumper Set
Front-opening, loose-fitting
sailor dress, sailor suit or jumper. Blouse, two hats and tights. High-waisted
dress or pants has sailor collar sewn into neckline, finished with ribbon tie
under collar. Pants can be tucked or gathered to fit bodice. Bodice without collar
can become a jumper worn with shirt underneath. Two styles of collars, round or
pointed, are provided for the front-opening blouse. Also included are a felt beret,
a sailor-style hat and a pair of tights made from one-way stretch knit (T-shirt
type).

Clothes Set
Jacket and overalls with variations.
Waist-length, lined jacket with roll-up contrast cuffs, with or without two styles
of collars. Lined mid-length, wide-leg overalls with roll-up cuffs and optional
patch pockets. Lined versions are reversible. Unlined jacket finished with facing,
with or without collars, is narrow-hemmed. Unlined overalls (choose from two lengths)
have a slimmer leg. A knit stocking cap completes the ensemble.
